The Tanzania trip coordination efforts are incredibly well thought out! Teams are completely prepared to make this 24 hour trip across the globe, with all the meal planning, shopping, vaccinations, passports, Tanzania Visas, work permits, and minute-to-minute travel arrangements taken care of before we even arrive at the airport on the day of departure.
June 2009 will mark FFCC’s 5th trip to Tanzania. Over half of the 34 people who have previously made the trip are returning! As a testimony to how well this trip is orchestrated, some people have made the trip to Tanzania with FFCC 3, 4, and 5 times.
Travelers (and parents of travelers) can feel absolutely SAFE about making this journey. Tanzania has one of the highest tourism rates due to safari’s and Mt. Kilimanjaro and we always secure safe housing, food, water, and transportation. FFCC works with experienced guides who live in Tanzania and who travel with the team at all times. We have a medical doctor, who resides in the home next to us when staying in Nkungi, and hospitals are only minutes away in both Singida and Nkungi.
The cost of the trip is approximately $4,000 dollars, but we have lots of ideas for FUNDRAISING! An additional cost for a pre-planned safari is approximately $500 dollars (optional). For planning purposes, about 7 months prior to each trip, interested travelers are asked to provide a non-refundable deposit of approximately $500. Fifty percent of the trip costs are due 3-4 months before departure, 75% due 2-4 months before departure, and 100% of all expenses (including the optional safari cost) are due 1-2 months before departure.
