Agroecology Project in Haiti

In 2015, FFCC launched an agroecology project in Gressier, Haiti. The agroecology project focuses on working with Haitian farmers to find practical, economic, and environment-friendly solutions to their challenges. FFCC has been working with farmers in Gressier to improve their production and create more markets for locally grown foods.

FFCC has held workshops and radio programs on natural fertilizers, pest control techniques, irrigation techniques, and more. This education is paired with hands-on classes teaching these practices in the farmers' gardens. The agroecology project also creates markets for local farmers by purchasing Haitian products for school feeding programs and designing a food aid product with 100% Haitian grown ingredients.

For more information about the project, see the "Project Description" page.
