"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."

Fight Against Hunger

There are several components to FFCC's 'fight against hunger' (FAH). The first is to bring awareness to the issue of hunger and to provide practical ways for our community to offer relief. These opportunities include supporting and/or volunteering for one of our food packaging events.

Our first community event was held in January 2007. We packaged 30,000 non-perishable meals. Since then, we have packaged and distributed more than 9 million meals for our local community and communities around the world. It is the vision of FFCC to eliminate starvation by 2050.

Another way to engage is to travel with us to countries where we are helping those who battle malnutrition and starvation. We distribute the FAH meals to those who have a limited means of providing for themselves (ie. orphans, abandoned children, lepers, those impacted by natural disasters).  Our meals are a nutritious supplement to whatever food source they are able to collect for themselves. Then we work together to develop sustainable solutions to their food shortage.

Sustainability is important to FFCC. We understand that we can not create a dependence on our food or our organization. We are working to develop a comparable recipe to that of our FAH meals that can be produced and packaged in the countries that FFCC is distributing. We welcome those with expertise to partner with us.

FFCC also has a variety of local outreaches from providing dinner for our homeless to collecting and distributing local produce to families in need in our area.

There are lots of ways to help.  Won't you join us in our fight against hunger.
