"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."

Houston Team #6 Returns Home

With Siding on the House and Happiness in the Hearts

FFCC has done much in the Houston area to help families affected by Hurricane Harvey.  The 17 homes that have been repaired is one evidence of that.  Other ways are less visible but equally impactful...maybe even more so.  FFCC at its core is about community connection and that is what FFCC helped to facilitate in the small isolated community of Little Cambodia.  These Cambodian people farm the land they live on.  The storm not only destroyed their homes but their livelihood as well.  FFCC was able to bring connection, opportunity and hope.

Connection with organizations that can provide help and support, Working on Rocky's home like the local Rotary Club. Little Cambodia now has 2 new members in the Alvin Rotary Club. Opportunity through local businesses that have agreed to provide credit lines and business loans so the families can rebuild their farms and businesses.  Hope through friendships built with local faith groups.  These groups ALL came together with the families of Little Cambodia and committed to continue to walk alongside them.

Walking together through life's ups and downs.  That's what it's all about!  FFCC offers SO MANY ways to connect with people and to make a difference. Join us in 2018!  For information on ways to get involved, contact Valerie Bass at valeriebass100@gmail.com.
