"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."

Margaret Mead

Gunda Secondary School is located in Nkungi Tanzania, a bush village populated with poor farming families. There are many challenges to getting a good education in Tanzania, over crowded classrooms and a lack of learning materials to name a few.  But one especially large challenge is malnutrition.  A decade of drought has made it difficult for families in Nkungi to provide their children with necessary nutrition. Children who don't get enough to eat or adequate nutrition struggle to learn.

FFCC has responded by providing Fight Against Hunger meals to the approximately 700 students of Gunda Secondary School.  Each school day, our nutritious meals are cooked and served to the students. As a result, the health and learning potential of these students has improved.

There are other projects related to education that FFCC is supporting at Gunda Secondary School.
